In 2016, at a meeting to discuss the goals and the objectives of the creation of a community garden, a group of people showed interest and volunteered to take the steps to implement such a project.
Based on values of sharing and commitment, collective action and solidarity, the mission of the Cocagne Community Garden’s is “To contribute to the development of Cocagne Rural Community’s citizens’ collective solidarity for self-sustainability of natural, healthy and sustainable food.”
